Just a brief email this time, some race reports and results have been held over till the next V S Update


Cancer Research 10k at Harewood this Sunday (30 October)

West Yorks XC

·         Sat 30 Oct - race 2 at Huddersfield (too late to enter if you’ve not pre-entered)

·         Sat 20 Nov - race 3 at Bramley Falls Park (near Rodley) THIS IS ALSO A V S GRAND PRIX RACE  (you need to let me know by 6 November if you want to enter)

·         Sun 5 Dec - race 4 at Wakefield

Note that the first race, at Ackworth on Sunday 7 November, IS ALSO A V S GRAND PRIX RACE.  All Striders can run, just pay on the day.  For those new to off-road running this would be a good introduction, a lot of running round field edges, a couple of short hills, and a stile.   Please use the Forum (see link on the website) if you want to share transport.

We now need 2 committee members.  Paul Hunter is not able to attend most Tuesdays but fortunately has volunteered to continue maintaining the Performance and Age-Graded database.


Please email me if you can spare an evening every 2 months and would like more information on what being a committee member entails.


Reminder that if you want food, choose meat pie or veg bake, choose mushy peas or baked beans (NB no apple pie) - to by 10pm Sunday 31 October.
