With one month left to the end of this year’s ladies and men’s competitions there has been a very good level of participation. 59 ladies and 102 men have taken part in at least one Grand Prix event, 8 ladies and 16 men have done the required 8 or more, and a further 6 ladies and 12 men have so far run 5-7.

Leading the ladies table is Sarah Shanks on the maximum of 800 points (Sarah has been first Strider in each of her best 8 GP races this year), and husband John on 798 points in the men’s competition.
The last GP races of the 2022 competition are:

Guy Fawkes 10m on 6 November
Templenewsam Park Run 12 November

If you have run an ultra race, a Marathon (other than London)or Half Marathon (other than Leeds or Vale of York) which is not included on the detailed results please submit the details before the end of November https://www.valleystriders.org.uk/members-area/results-submission/

I will be publishing the details of group and age group winners in both competitions after the PECO race results have been input. We will also be compiling the schedule of 2023 Grand Prix events for publication at a similar time. For now please assume the same events from 2022 will be included if considering which races you might apply for.
