- IG JB SG use the medium lap
- After the SG have run 1 medium lap, the ‘cut through’ at B will be closed
- IB JG run a short lap then go onto the large lap
- SB run 3 large laps
- The programme alternates the genders

A | Ensure a good start for all races Races 5 & 6 involve the small lap – athletes will come from C to A to go onto the long lap All races will pass this point at least twice. |
B | Races 1 & 2 athletes run 2 medium laps using the cut from B to D Race 3 Senior Girls run 1 medium lap & one long lap They cut through from B to D on their first lap & then the cut through B to D is blocked. IT IS NOT USED AGAIN |
C | Race 3 SG on their second lap come to C & go back up the hedge side Races 3, 4, 5 & 6 involve long laps – from C athletes go up the hedge side to the wooded area & then on to D ONLY Races 4 & 5 go from C to A & then go onto the long lap |
Wooded Area | May need 2 marshals to keep spectators away from the athletes Races 3, 4, 5 & 6 as athletes come from C direct them to D |
D | Races 1 & 2 cut through from B Race 3 cuts through on first lap only. After that, all athletes will come from C up by the hedge & then through the wooded area towards D Direct them on to E |
E | All races come from D to E & you direct them to F |
F 2 Marshals | 1 marshal directs athletes through the gap Second marshal points the way round the perimeter of the field. |
Far edge Between F & G | Maybe 2 or 3 marshals needed in this field to keep athletes on the correct track |
G | Point athletes in the correct direction at the top of the Start & Finish field |
After the bend at the top of the Start & Finish field | Generally keeping an eye on the athletes as they go down to H |
H | H will be a gate way Athletes will be going onto their next lap or going to the finish |
