This is the first publication of the VS fell league this season. Sorry for the delay, but this now includes the results of 19 races and currently features 19 men and 13 ladies who have scored points in at least one race so far.
Leaders at this early stage are Jon Pownall, making a robust defence of his trophy, and Jenny Hall making a first appearance in the league. The leading race score so far is Jon’s 105 at Ilkley Moor (if you want to know how it’s possible to score more than 100, just read the rules). But for me the standout performance so far is probably Jon’s run at the Newlands memorial race in the Lake District where he was only about 9 minutes behind the ex-Bingley legend Rob Jebb.
